The course lasts a minimum of 2 months and consists of theoretical and practical instructions on free flight in the paragliding or hang gliding modality and includes all the necessary steps until the student is qualified as a Level 1 Pilot by the Brazilian Free Flight Confederation - CBVL, allowing them to fly solo on ramps in Brazil and around the world.
All equipment used during the entire course is provided by the school; students do not need to purchase any equipment until they graduate. Until they graduate as pilots, students go through several stages and must register and take theoretical and practical tests, as well as flights monitored by the instructor.
All learning is psychomotor and develops gradually and safely, in which the student first takes a tandem instruction flight to get used to flying, then performs exercises on flat terrain where he learns all the procedures for takeoff and glider control, creating muscle memory. Later, the exercises are performed on gently sloping, low-altitude school hills, where the student performs short takeoffs and landings to acquire proficiency in takeoff. Only after passing the theoretical tests and being cleared by the instructor on the hill can the student perform their flights guided by the instructor on a flight ramp. A minimum of 20 monitored flights on a ramp and 10 hours of flight are required for approval.
After graduating, pilots receive all the support they need for their safe development as pilots, counting on the school's ongoing support and guidance to make the best decisions on their journey through the sport, whether it's to clear up doubts, choose equipment, make decisions about the flight, or even for a good chat and to fly together.
